There once was a professor from Troy Whose students he did not annoy When he would ask, "So what?" For we felt in our gut Teaching rhetoric for him was pure joy.
Michael, I will always remember your “So what?” question. And I have passed this question down to my students. It is now a collective, multigenerational haunting (not all hauntings are bad!). I have fond memories of sitting in your office. You always listened carefully, had great questions, and were very straightforward with the hard questions–and always with good humor. I have also, apparently, inherited your love of horizontal filing–though I will never be as good at it (as I can’t always find what I’m looking for like you could). But I’m getting there…
It was so good to see you at RSA last year. I wish you the happiest birthday! John wishes you the same. Cheers!
